Push Notifications
What are push notifications?
Push notifications inform players directly on their smartphone — even when the app isn't open. This way they never miss important updates like round releases or score confirmations.
For tournament admins
Push notifications must be enabled per tournament. You'll find the "Push notifications" option when creating or editing a tournament.
When enabled, players can opt in to notifications. You determine when messages are sent:
- Release a round — When you set a round to "Open", all players automatically receive a notification.
- Confirm a score — The affected player is notified when their score has been confirmed.
- Notify about flights — In the Flights tab, a "Notify players" button appears. Each player receives a personalized message with their flight and tee time.
For players
If the tournament director has enabled push notifications, a green "Enable notifications" banner appears on your score entry page. Click "Enable" and allow notifications in your browser.
You can disable notifications at any time — the banner then shows a "Disable" link.
Note: On iOS (iPhone), push notifications only work when the app has been added to the home screen.
What messages will I receive?
- A round is released: *"Round 1 is open — enter your score"*
- Flights are published: *"You're playing at 10:20 in Flight 3"*
- Your score is confirmed: *"Your score for round 1 has been confirmed"*
